Website Design and Development Built Around Your Business
Rocket plans, designs and builds fast, mobile-first websites that explain what you do and make it easy for customers to contact or buy from you.

What Rocket provides
Rocket designs and builds complete business websites: structure, layout, copy support, development, testing and launch. We work from Johannesburg and the Rivonia office to turn a rough idea or an ageing site into something clear, quick and easy to manage.
Every build starts with what visitors need to find and what you need them to do, not with a template.
We build on WordPress because it is flexible, widely supported and easy to hand over. You are never locked into a closed system, and the site can grow with you.
Who it's for
This service suits businesses that need a proper web presence rather than a one-page placeholder:
- Owner-run companies launching their first site
- Established firms whose site no longer reflects the business
- Organisations that need several service pages, a team page and enquiry forms
- Teams that want to update content themselves without calling a developer
Problems it solves
A website should remove friction, but many do the opposite. We typically fix:
- Sites that look dated or break on phones
- Visitors who cannot tell what you offer within a few seconds
- Enquiry forms that are hard to find or never reach the right person
- Pages that are slow, unstructured or invisible to search engines
- Content that only a developer can change
Underneath the visual problems there is usually a planning problem. Sites fail when nobody decided who the visitor is, what they are looking for and what happens after they click. Planning those answers first is what separates a site that works from one that merely looks finished.
What's included
Each project includes:
- A sitemap and page plan agreed before design starts
- Responsive design for phone, tablet and desktop
- Development on WordPress, with an easy-to-use editor
- Contact and quote forms wired to your email
- Basic on-page SEO: titles, descriptions, headings and clean URLs
- Speed and security configuration
- Testing across common browsers and devices
- Launch support and a short handover walkthrough
Options
Most clients choose one of three routes:
- Fixed-package build for 5, 10 or 20 pages, priced up front
- Custom build for larger structures, special layouts or integrations, quoted individually
- Design plus content where we also write the copy and arrange photography
Add-ons include online booking, a shop, copywriting and SEO. If you mainly sell products, see e-commerce website development.
If you are unsure which route fits, start with the instant estimator below. It gives you a ballpark range from a few answers, and we refine it into a written quote once we understand the details.
What you'll need to supply
To keep the project moving, please be ready with:
- Your logo and brand colours, or ask us about logo design
- A list of the services or products you want featured
- Any existing text, photos and testimonials you are allowed to publish
- Your domain and hosting details, if you already have them
- One person who can approve content and design
How the process works
- Discovery: a short call or the brief builder to capture goals, audience and pages.
- Plan: sitemap, page outline and quote or package confirmation.
- Design: a visual direction for the home page and one inner page for your feedback.
- Build: development, forms, SEO basics and content loading.
- Review: you test the site; we apply one structured round of changes.
- Launch: DNS, final checks and go-live.
What affects cost and timing
Cost and timing mostly depend on page count, how much content is ready, how many features you need (booking, shop, member areas) and how quickly feedback comes back. A clean 5-page site can move quickly; a 30-page site with fresh copy takes longer because content is usually the slowest part.
Delays almost always come from late text and photos, so a content checklist early on saves time.
A short, honest scope almost always beats a large vague one. We would rather launch a tight site and expand it than delay launch for features few visitors will use. Expect a fixed schedule in the quote, with checkpoints for your feedback along the way.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a website take to build?
Timelines depend on page count and how quickly content and feedback arrive. We give a realistic schedule in the quote and update it if scope changes.
Will I be able to edit the site myself?
Yes. We build on WordPress with a simple editing setup and show you how to update text, images and pages during handover.
Do you write the website copy?
We can. Copywriting is an optional add-on, or you can supply your own text and we will format and optimise it.
Who owns the website once it is finished?
You own your content and domain. We explain exactly what is handed over, including logins, at launch.
Do you build for clients in Zimbabwe?
Yes. We work remotely from Johannesburg for Zimbabwean businesses, with payments in Rand through PayFast.
